In the Redeemer Church Bylaws:

5.13. There shall be an Executive Committee (see Constitution, C13.01). This committee may act on behalf of the Congregation Council. Such action may only occur during the time between called Congregation Council meetings. All actions of this committee are subject to prior approval and affirmation by the Congregation Council. At no time shall this committee be understood to act in place of the Congregation Council.
